MURANO GLASS

Venetian Glass has been made for over 1500 years on the Venetian Island of Murano, and so it is most famously known as Murano Glass.   This became Europe’s elite glassmaking centre in the 15th and 16th centuries.

 It is famous for vases, chandeliers and mirrors and the multi-coloured glass called “millefiori” is extremely beautiful.
