18th Century Bible Box

Here we have an unusual converted 18th Century oak bible box on stand that has been turned into a work box there is a single drawer at the front which pulls out and has a brass handle shaped almost like an elongated acorn. The top has been recovered and new hinges have been fitted. This piece is a clear example of times changing and how our furniture adapts to our needs it's unclear when this was converted originally but the overall effect is rather pleasing. The carvings on the edges and sides make this box more than just your average piece it has obviously been well cared for and cherished. Delivery is available at an extra charge.
