19th Century Marble Figure

Fine 19th Century carved marble figure of a young boy learning his alphabet probably Italian. Beautifully detailed carving made in roughly c1850/60. We have been using a gilt stand with blue velvet to display this item and that can be included if the buyer would like it. The detailing on this carving begs not just a second look but many more every time I look at it I notice something more about it like the spine actually being carved, the letters in the boys book.
