Item Details
Extremely rare and stunning Samual Alcock and Sons jug. In brilliant condition showing beautiful detail this Royal Patriotic Fund jug is dated 'January 1st 1855'. As shown in the images there is only slight wear on the gliding spout which is most probably due the age. The detail and quality of this jug is outstanding.
The Royal Patriotic fund was established for educating and relieving those who had lost husbands and patents in battle or by death in active service in the war. There is one jug in the National Army Museum, Victoria and Albert museum and The Royal collections
